The choice of using Colorbond® Steel – Night Sky for this project is based on the long-term colour fastness of Colorbond® Steel, complimented by the unique Thermatech® Technology which provides a more thermally efficient building, whilst improving the internal comfort.
Thermatech® Technology can reduce the internal atmosphere of a building, by up to 6 degrees C, compared to alternative prepainted steel materials in the same colour. This effectively means that the asset owner will benefit from lifecycle savings on utilities and energy used on HVAC and Airconditioning. The environmental benefits of Thermatech® goes beyond the internal build atmosphere, since it also reduces UHT (Urban Heat Island) effect commonly associated with large scale developments and urbanised areas.
