A total area of 42 000m2 of Clean Colorbond® - AZ150 – African White, profiled to Saflok 410 was used to clad the roof structure.
Completed in 2011, Mall of the North (often shortened to MOTN), is a two-level super regional shopping mall situated in Bendor Park, Polokwane in the Limpopo province of South Africa.
Due to the size and design inspiration taken from nature and perfected by the team of MDS Architects, it was required to have the most durable pre-painted metal cladding available and therefore Colorbond® was chosen.
Apart from Colorbond®’s superior colour fastness and UV resistance, the additional Clean Technology® and Thermatech® properties of the material, ensures that the building looks newer for longer and reduces energy consumption, respectively.
